They say “find what you love and you will never work a day”. I’m lucky to say, that I found my kind of calling when I already was five – and it was music. You know how it all works, right? At first you get this itchy feeling of something triggering deep inside. The very moment you step onto your path you know that that’s the right thing to do.
That is how I started learning music when I was 5 and, eventually, got my degrees in both piano and guitar.
For more than 15 years I have been professionally working in the music sphere as a composer, arranger, multi-instrumentalist (piano, acoustic guitar, bass), producer and a teacher. Yes, I’ve done a lot of stuff over the years. No matter what paths my life could lead me along I always managed to find my way in music. Even if sometimes it was just selling music instruments or working as a technician on stage. I am not afraid of experimenting with various styles, combining piano music with power of a symphonic orchestra, might of metal and rock anthems with multi-layered synthesizers. Initially music is what you feel not what you hear. To share these feelings, arrange them in the way to give birth to music, one should extend the known boundaries. Foremost – their own.
Throughout my professional collaboration activity worked as a keyboardist and arranger with such bands as Aftermoon (modern metal), “I Miss My Death” (gothic doom metal), “Mysterya” (symphonic metal), “Natural Spirit” (pagan metal) and several other performers at various festivals and worked at some releases. With the Aftermoon band was touring round Ukraine, Russia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania and Hungary.
With a strong influence of movie soundtracks, folk music of different cultures and various electronic projects, I currently do both playing in bands and creating music for movies and advertising. I must mention Hans Zimmer, Vangelis, Yanni, Enya, Alan Silvestri, James Horner, Howard Shore, James Horner and Daniel Elfman among the composers influencing and inspiring me the most.
These days I am living in China and working as a DIY musician.
