At the same time, Nata Zhyzhchenko and Eugene Filatov put everything on hold: they were expecting to greet a baby boy. This event formed the basis of CEAHC and turned it into the most intimate track of ONUKA’s in six years. Social messages (which are abundantly present on albums such as VIDLIK and MOZAЇKA) made room for a more intimate and personal conversation about fears.
Nata Zhyzhchenko, ONUKA frontwoman:
“CEAHC is devoted to our son Sasha and was written with him in mind. It’s a song about fighting biases and stereotypes. About me moving towards something bigger and conquering my fears. Only when I manage to fight them, I will reach complete harmony.”
The single will be included on the upcoming eponymous album of the same name, consisting of 10 tracks. It being released first is no coincidence: CEAHC largely characterizes the changes Nata went through in the past months. On the track, the artist seems to re-discover herself and return back to the roots at the same time. ONUKA’S fans will surely take notice of the new vocal presentation, free and folk-ish – probably unexpected to them, but in fact very natural for the singer who grew up listening to folk music.
Nevertheless, the upcoming album is based on electronic sound. This concept continues in a rather unusual premiere: CEAHC will be released as an original track and a remix by Ukrainian electronic musician and producer Koloah at the same time.
