A falsely carefree, indolently melodic band from Bordeaux with a variety of pop influences?
At the end of 2019, Feutre was formed by bassist and composer Michaël Korchia (who plays in Vacance and was in the indiepop duo Watoo Watoo) and Virginie Raynaud, singer and lyricist, with a jazz background (who also plays in the Quartet Jazz De Ville). After having recorded about ten tracks, the group was joined by Olivier Dubarry and Pierre Cazal.
Feutre has made ten tracks on the album 'Nos rencontres', released by Koclicko Records. It's inspired by pop music from the 60s to the 80s and probably a lot more. There's a hint of Bowie, a bass out of a 70s Gainsbourg and even an organ echoing Stereolab... All of this overlaid by Virginie's very jazzy, mezzo-soprano vocals.
