an electronic ambient project from Moscow (Russia).
Date of formation: 2002
Basic Styles: Ambient, Space Music, Film Soundtrack, Dream Drone, Berlin School Electronic, Downtempo, New Age.
The project is actively touring and performing at club and festival venues. The stylistic boundaries of music are unstable, but they rely on various facets of "slow sounding": synthesizer dreamy electronics with a clear sci-fi color and references to the era of electronic space-rock and the Berlin School of Electronic Music, atmospheric space ambient and thick drone-textures ... In the works of the 2000s, there were also "alien elements" (techno, house, trance).
In 2019, the EugeneKha project split into two ambient structures: the cosmic, synthesizer beginning remained with EugeneKha (synthesizer-space ambient, New Age, Berlin), while the “dark”, “earthly” went into the “Perelog” project (Dark Ambient, Ritual , Drone).
Collaboration: Jack Hertz (USA), Mystified (USA), Scott Lawlor (USA), Alexey Borisov, Alexander Yakovlev (Bioconstructor / BIO), Olga Voskonyan, Vera Sazhina, Sergey Boroff Vysokosov (ex-Metal Corrosion), Herman “Gerasim” Olshuk, Mikhail Lezin (Dia and others. ), Green Ice Cream, ALONE, West Remi (Ukraine-Germany) etc.
Participation in festivals and musical projects: 'Green Travel Fest', 'Ambient And More', "Music To Dreams", 'Skazka', 'Sun Spirit', "Ours in Space", 'NoiseRoom', ‘Immersive Sounds Festival’, ‘In the Sky above Moscow’ , ‘Winter cold’, ‘Commission’, ‘Solstice in Guslitsa’, etc.
The only participant in the project is Moscow composer and writer Evgeny V. Kharitonov (Evgenij V. Kharitonov), a member of various rock and synth formations since the mid-1980s. He began his "musical career" in 1985 as a member of the first Moscow disco-theater "Columbus". In 1980-1990 he played the guitar, sang and wrote songs in the rock bands "THEMY", "Russian storytellers", "Temple of Dreams" , "Kharitonov Fuck Orchestra", "Helter Skelter" and others. Since the beginning of the 2000s it has been musically existing in the space of electronic and acoustic experimental music. He releases albums in a wide variety of styles (from syntwave to prog-jazz and ethnic) and under different names (Yoko Absorbing, Spacebirds, Nameless Dancers, Microbit Project). But he considers Ambient to be the main direction for himself. Sometimes he performs "solo" under his own name - mainly with sound-poetic performances, noise experiments and experiments within the academic musical avant-garde. (In 2001-2010 he paid much attention to experiments with low-bitrate sounds (mainly under the pseudonym Microbit Project), for which some critics called him "the godfather of the Russian lowbit").
Creator of the ambient music label 45 Echoes Sounds, curator of the Lapa Azora avant-garde festival, Green Travel Fest, Music for Dreams, Ours in Space, etc.
In non-musical life - an experimental poet, philologist, head of literary projects at the Russian State Library for Youth, author of a large number of publications on the history of science fiction, poetry and literary publications.
