Duality is the basis for the manifestation of the polarity of being, i.e. the impossibility of the existence of two opposites without each other. There are countless examples: birth and death, good and evil, action and reaction, and so on to infinity.
The idea of duality inherent in this album and represents a new musical side. The album is divided into 2 parts: the first half is more lyrical, the second is, on the contrary, fun and unobtrusive, as if the transition from darkness to light. If you try to dig a little deeper and imbued with a sequence of songs, you will notice this interesting pattern.
Despite the modernity of the sound, the lyrics are focused on eternal values: family, peace, love. This is especially felt in the very ending when you hear from the artist’s lips that the album is dedicated to his younger brother Vlad and sister Valeria, who died in a car accident. The cover of the release was the picture that Valeria wrote and dedicated to Vlad. They were also musicians, creators of the hip-hop group "Sensi Sheeba", whose motto was “original sound”.
We are accustomed to things like LOVE but we talk about them in a whisper, and in general, we can rarely discuss them with someone, often preferring to leave it to ourselves. Rastaveli does not hesitate to talk about them, elevating them and giving them not just a light shade, but the brightest light, comparable to what comes from the sun. Whereas the song "Money", on the contrary, shows how much everything that values in the present age of commerce is mundane and completely secondary.
The album "Duality" will obviously surprise its listeners. Unusual for such a style of performance musical accompaniment turned out mainly due to the young producer Young Jimmy, who produced the main part of the release. It is a creative duet with artist and beatmaker that gave even more uniqueness to this album. The rest of the production belongs to Rastaveli himself (under alias LAN$), Anton Acid (RU), ionzy (RU), Omito Beats (CA), Tsunami Wazahari (FR) and DJ Greg (BY) worked on the musical component.
International invited guests consisting of MC No Limit (UK), Barry Tune (ZI).
The apogee of all this becomes the track "Svoboda" (Freedom), which is an ideal composition in memory of the group "Sensi Sheeba". Whose posthumous album had the same title. This is the only track from the album fully performed in Russian, which repeats the hip-hop style of work of "Sensi Sheeba", and does it so well that it seems that Vlad himself performs this song, just with the voice of Rastaveli MC.
Isn't it the best tribute to people who devoted their lives to their beloved work until the last days?
R.I.P. Vlad & Valeria!
