Tim Kari

Timur Kariev, widely known as Tim Kari, is a producer, musician and a DJ born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. In his childhood he was forced to learn playing musical instruments by his parents. He was quite unhappy to play accordion and piano. He couldn't handle it for too long and soon he decided to quit music. However, in about a year's time he realized that he needed music in his life. On the first occasion, he sat at the piano and composed his first musical piece. This was the start of his travel.  

 

First recording experiments were with the use of cassettes, where he had to record and layer them to make his music more interesting and sophisticated. This way he was developing his knowledge of music arrangement. A big step ahead was made after he got a keyboard workstation. Now he could layer up to eight different instruments. He used this instrument for quite a few years until he got a computer. Back then he was using programs like Ejay, Acid and Wavelab. At that point he decided to show his music to recording studios specialists, hoping to bring his music up to a professional level. Many studios were pretty harsh in their judgments and only one recommended him to use multitrack layout programs, such as Nuendo or Cubase. He spent about couple of years learning to work in those programs. This was the start of a new stage in his travel.  

 

He was composing new tracks, while also learning the nature of music as such. His compositions became significantly better and he got first clients, willing to buy his tracks. This way he became a ghost producer, and in this role he worked with many artists from his and neighboring countries. However, the best pieces he was saving for himself. Gradually he collected a considerable amount of tracks that he wanted to publish under his name. All that was missing was belief in himself, as well as appropriate genre for his music. He started gaining his confidence after winning several international remix contests online. The last piece of puzzle, the genre of music, he acquired from his friend, a dj Voynov playing in one of the bars in Tashkent. As a result, he decided to create an album in Organic House. His debut Album „Gate Of Ishtar“ was released in 2020 by Monada Project. Later, he released an EP created in collaboration with IY (DJ Piligrim), an EP “Soul” on the Kosa label and a single “Farewell“ with Pandhora on the Art Vibes label. In summer 2022 he also held a gala concert with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Kyrgyzstan and the Liberty Choir n Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. In 2023 he released one of his favorite tracks “Huma”. The composition stands out due to an amazing solo on a folk instrument Sato, an Arabian flavor created by orchestra strings.  

 

Now, he is focusing on organizing live shows and big concerts. At the same time, he continues producing new original tracks and working in collaboration with other musicians.
