Человек, который

«Человек, который» (pronounced as 'Chelóvek, kotóry', which translates from Russian as The Man Who) is a Moscow-based band founded in 2018. Harmonies and lyrics are at the core of our melancholic music. We call its genre 'lucid noir'. 

 

Our name is an homage to a Russian movie 'The Man Who Surprised Everyone'. However, it could be any other 'the man who'. The man who… is up to you. As Jean-Paul Sartre once said: 'Man is not the sum of what he has already, but rather the sum of what he does not yet have, of what he could have'.  

 

A person as a project, a story. A human being in search of his or her own humanity.
