Karabay, the old Tatar melody of the beginning of the XX century, finds a new sound a hundred years later in a single created by composer and electronic musician Marat Taturas. Specially for this project, Yummy Music sound engineers made digital copies from vintage copper discs recorded in the Kazan Museum's archives and combined their authentic sound with modern electronic music of the XXI century. Michiel Hollanders (mandolin, claudeviol) and Gennady Lavrentiev (tabla) make groove and authentic sound for this recording.
